An Afternoon with PeopleShift at Spaces, Fountainbridge, Edinburgh
I recently spent the afternoon with the team from PeopleShift at Spaces in Edinburgh. PeopleShift specialise in creating happy, motiavted and high performing teams – they are such a lovely bunch of people who I can imagine being a real asset to any organistion looking to get the most out of their employees.
As a business headshot photographer in Edinburgh, I often work with companies who want more than just a quick portrait. They need images that feel genuine, professional, and versatile enough for LinkedIn profiles, websites, proposals and press features. This session included corporate headshots, team photography, and relaxed working shots – giving PeopleShift a complete library of images from one shoot.
The location gave us plenty to work with warm brick walls and even a rooftop terrace with views across Edinburgh. Perfect for variety without needing to move far.
Firstly – headshots
We started with portraits outside against the brick wall. A simple backdrop means the focus stays on the person. Each image captured something individual – from a bright pop of colour to a confident smile.
Then – team shots
We used both the curved brick wall and the glass-fronted entrance for a mix of textures. The group stayed close and relaxed, creating images that are friendly but still polished enough for corporate use.
Finally – working shots
Indoors, I photographed the team in discussion around a table, and then we headed up to the rooftop terrace where the city skyline added a fresh, open feel. These images are brilliant for showing a company’s personality and the way they work.
The final gallery gives PeopleShift a bank of brand photography they can use across their marketing – professional but approachable, and very much them.
