Edinburgh Event Photographer – Untangled Book Launch

This was a cracker of a job – Kirsty Maynor, founder of Firefly, ‘one of the UK’s foremost organisational culture change and leadership development specialists’ booked three shoots: the first was dedicated to headshots and team working shots; the second was to capture images of Kirsty with her new book ‘Untangled‘, and the third was to photograph the book launch event which took place in the beautiful Clockwise offices in Edinburgh.

It was an absolute pleasure working with the entire Firefly team and from the initial briefing call with Marketing and PR Director Suz Bird, I knew we were a good fit. 

Suz reflects “we had to do a location brief without having seen the location, we had to talk about a product without having seen the product, and work to a schedule that was undefined. There were quite a few things which made it off the beaten track as a project and Anna absolutely nailed every one of those… Not only were the quality of her images incredible but her presence on the day was a joy! Anna has a very comfortable and relaxing manner and we wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again.”

As Suz points out, there were a lot of variables in the run up to this job – printing delays had a knock on effect on location choice and shoot dates/turnaround times –  but that just added to the fun! I’m very happy to be flexible and absolutely loved working with such a professional and friendly bunch.  Each shoot went really smoothly and I’ve loved seeing the images being put to use on Kirsty’s website and across Firefly’s social media platforms.
