Take Great Photos of Your Kids – 15th March 2020, Tribe Porty, Edinburgh
I’m really looking forward to working with my friend and fellow family photographer Rachel Hein again for our next photography workshop, ‘Take Great Photos of Your Kids’, which will take place in Tribe Porty on the 15th March. This is our fifth workshop so I thought I’d take the opportunity to share some images from each and explain a little about how the day works.
There are a couple of spaces left and you can book yours here.
The course is weighted more to the practical rather than theory but we do have to begin with some basics so there’s a bit of powerpoint to start so that everyone understands what they need to about how to operate their own camera on manual. Don’t worry – we’ve cut the jargon and there will be coffee.
We then get right to it and you’ll be free to use the space to get to grips with your camera. Both Rachel and I will be on hand to answer any questions and we keep the class sizes small so you’ll have lots of chances to do just that.
After the first practical session we’ll regroup, there will be a chance to ask more questions and then it’s time for lunch which is included in your ticket price. It’s delicious – enjoy!
Rachel and I will then share some tips about how to get great shots of kids. We are both mothers and have a combined experience of around 18 years working as family photographers – we’ll show you some dos and don’ts and answer any question you have.
You’ll then have the chance to try your hand at photographing the little people. This is a challenge but loads of fun and again – both Rachel and I are there to help.
After the course you’ll be able to join our private facebook group to share images and ask any questions – it’s a supportive group and a great way to keep in touch.
It’s a great day which is both fun and informative. Take this opportunity to carve out some space for yourself and learn something new. We’ve had loads of great feedback too; here’s just a snippet:
“The size of the group was comfortable and made me feel at ease. Anna and Rachel were approachable and very knowledgeable. I actually like and feel more comfortable with my camera!”
“Very relaxed and informative. Perfect balance of theory and putting it into practice! Great venue. Fab teachers.”
“Very practically orientated. Gave us all a basic starting point to jump off from straightaway, removing the initial intimidation of the big inscrutable cameras we’d brought along.”
“Relaxed atmosphere and didn’t feel intimidated to ask simple questions.”
