The Female Quotient is the largest global community of women in business across every industry with a mission to close the gender gap and create equality across the workplace.

I couldn’t have been happier to have been working for this mission led business at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in June last year. Speakers from businesses such as Google, Spotify, The Wall Street Journal, Vogue and Tik-Tok discussed all things equality and as you can image the content was eye opening and inspiring in equal parts.

Some highlights for me were:
⭐ Actress and activist Sophia Bush discussing online safety for girls.
⭐ Lioness Alessia Russo talking about inspiring the younger generation in sport.
⭐ Chef Jose Andres, founder of food aid NGO World Central Kitchen, on the connection between food and love.
⭐ WACL president Nishma Patel Robb 🪩⚡️ on showing vulnerability as a leader. She was as impressive in Cannes as she was when I last photographed her at a WACL event in Edinburgh
⭐ Leaning more about Dove’s Campaign for Real Beauty – I loved this campaign – it was so good for women and absolute genius for the brand.
⭐ Crime Junkie Podcaster Ashley Flowers was so engaging – I know what I’m listening to on the plane home.
⭐ Learning more about the power of the influencer from Tik Tok sensation Alix Earle (my kids were impressed with this one!)
⭐ Lisa McKnight, chief brand officer of Mattel on the behind the scenes discussions about that iconic scene from the Barbie movie. Did you know that it was nearly scripted for Barbie?
⭐ Surprise visit from WNBA superstar Chiney Ogwumike to discuss the rise in popularity in women’s sports and the work that still needs to be done.

And so much more! I photographed 70 panels, 300 speakers and delivered 2000+ images to the client; learned loads and made some new friends too. Can’t wait for next year!
