Event Photography – Equality Lounge, Davos

Working in event photography has opened up many wonderful opportunities for me and I love it when my work allows me to see new parts of the world. I’ve travelled to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland for the last four years now and for me the absolute highlight has been my visits to the Equality Lounge, a space run by The Female Quotient.

The Female Quotient, run by ‘chief troublemaker’ Shelley Zalis, works with companies to achieve gender equality in the workplace and the thought provoking discussions had in the Equality Lounge are inspriring, honest and so important.

As a working mum of three kids I am one of many facing a constant juggle and I couldn’t do what I do without the support of my mum and my amazing female friends (I’m writing this on a train on my way to a shoot in Glasgow – to make today work I asked a good friend if I could drop my daughter at her house at the crack of dawn – thanks Sarah!)

My recent event photography work with egg, Scotland’s largest platform for connecting women, has also been incredibly inspiring (the provision of childcare has been a game changer for many at these events, I wish something like that had been available when my own children were tiny!)

I’m sharing a few of my favourite event photography images from the Equality Lounge here, please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have an event coming up, I’m based in Edinburgh but work worldwide and I’d love to hear from you about any future projects you may have coming up.
